A tour of the app.

These are real screenshots, filled with a sample family library of 100 books. Scan a barcode to add a book, give it a shelf, and see who has it when it's lent out.

Free for up to 100 books. No card needed.

The library grid on a computer: book covers with shelf labels, an estimated library value of about $1,800, and filters for reading status and tags.

1 · Scan

Scan the barcode on the back cover.

The camera reads the ISBN and fills in the title, author, publisher, and cover. You can get through a whole shelf without typing.

  • Runs in the browser on iPhone and Android, no app store
  • Bluetooth and USB barcode scanners work too
  • No barcode? Search by title and author instead

Search by title: typing Piranesi by Susanna Clarke finds the book with its cover.

Scan with phone

Scan with your phone, review on your computer.

Open a session on your computer and scan its QR code with your phone. Each book you scan shows up on the computer a second later. Add them one at a time or all together.

  • Several phones can scan into one session
  • Keyboard shortcuts on the computer for fast review
  • Undo anything you added by mistake

Your catalog

Browse by cover.

Search by title, author, or tag. Filter to what's on the shelf, what's lent out, or what you're reading. Each book has its own page with its cover, description, and where it sits.

  • Tags suggested from each book's subjects
  • Reading status and ratings for everyone in the house
  • Import from Libib or CSV, export anytime

2 · Place

Know which shelf it's on.

Set up your rooms the way you'd give directions: room, wall, bookcase, row. Each copy gets a spot and a short label, so you can walk straight to it.

  • Scan a whole row into the same spot in one go
  • Labels like FIC 12 or HIS 4, numbered for you
  • See each bookcase drawn, with the book's row highlighted
Locations: the Living Room's north wall with three bookcases drawn row by row, and the Study below.

3 · Track value

See roughly what your books are worth.

Library looks up used and new prices from online booksellers, shipping included, and totals them by room and shelf.

  • Each book counts at the median used price
  • Set your own value for a signed or rare copy
  • Filter by priced, not found, or valued by hand
Library value: an estimated $1,816 across 100 books, broken down by room, with each book's price listed.
One book's value on a phone: used median $6.29, new $13.09, and offers from several sellers.

4 · Lend

Remember who has your books.

Check a book out, give it a due date, and see what's overdue. Family members can ask for a book and you approve it.

  • Borrowers don't need an account
  • Members send requests, you approve them
  • Overdue books are marked in red

Lending is part of Full Library, $10/month.
