Free book price comparison

Compare used & new book prices.

Search by title, author, or ISBN. You'll see the cheapest used and new copies from online booksellers, with shipping to the US added in.

How it works

  1. Search

Type a title, an author, or the ISBN from the back cover.

  2. Compare totals

Used and new offers side by side, cheapest first, with US shipping included.

  3. Buy from the seller

The link goes straight to the seller's listing. You buy from them, not us.

Questions

Where do the prices come from?

Current offers from online booksellers, looked up by the book's ISBN. Each book page also links to searches at other big stores so you can check those yourself.

Is shipping included?

Yes. Every price is the item plus the seller's shipping to a US address, so a cheap book with expensive shipping doesn't jump to the top.

How fresh are the prices?

Every book page says when its prices were last checked. Used listings sell fast, so confirm the price on the seller's page before you buy.

How is this free?

Some seller links are affiliate links. If you buy through one, I may earn a commission, and it costs you nothing extra. It never changes the order of the results, which are always cheapest first.

Can I track what my own books are worth?

Yes. Library is also a catalog for the books you own. Scan the barcodes with your phone and it estimates what the collection is worth from the same prices. It's free for up to 100 books.

The same search and prices are available as a free JSON API with CORS: see the OpenAPI spec and llms.txt. Every book page also links its JSON.
